Considering the Cinema presents… The DVD Infatuation Podcast, The Grab Bag of Movie Podcasts, starring Dave “Dr. Shock” Becker — “The Leonard Maltin of the Internet,” the Amazing but Subtle One, the National Treasure himself! For this epic edition of The DVD Infatuation Podcast, Dave welcomes special guest Anthony Ragucci, contributor to Land of the Creeps and co-host of the MRAC Film Club, for an extensive cinematic tour of the City of Angels.
Inspired in part by the documentary Los Angeles Plays Itself, Dave and Anthony each bring 10 films that prominently feature Los Angeles — movies in which the neighborhoods, streets, architecture, culture, history, and unmistakable atmosphere of the city become an essential part of the story. From classic and neo-noir to crime films, character dramas, surreal Hollywood nightmares, punk-rock science fiction, and action classics, Doc Shock and Anthony explore 20 very different visions of Los Angeles.
