  1. I know this is a bit overkill but here is a list of all the movies I rated 9.5* or 10* each decade, (which i keep a list of each year on IMDB), not including the ones in the Top 15ish below

2010: The Book of Eli, True Grit, Cold Fish
    2011: Warrior, Super, Yellow Sea
2012:The Grey, Confession of Murder, Lawless, The Cabin in the Woods, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Raid: Redemption, Flight
2013: V/H/S/2, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, The Tower
2014: The Admiral, The Raid 2, Odd Thomas
2015: No Escape, We Are Still Here, Kingsman: The Secret Service, It Follows
2016: The Autopsy of Jane Doe, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Don’t Breathe, Train to Busan
2017: The Killing of a Sacred Deer, Dunkirk, Wind River, Baby Driver, Get Out, Okja, Mother!, Logan, Split
2018: A Quiet Place, A Star is Born, The Night Comes for Us, Bad Times at the El Royale, Upgrade
2019: Midsommar, Joker, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Ford v Ferrari, Under the Silver Lake, Lords of Chaos

    15. Why Don’t You Play in Hell?
    14. Blade of the Immortal
    13. Parasite
    12. Remember
    11. The Founder
    10. The Beaver
    9. Whiplash
    8. I Saw the Devil
    7. Bedevilled
    6. Terrifier
    5. A Taxi Driver
    4. Django/Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood
    3. Bone Tomahawk/Brawl in Cell Block 99/Dragged Across Concrete
    2. The Hateful Eight
    1. The Wailing

My favorite thing of the Decade is the rise of S. Craig Zahler. His first 3 films, IMO, are the greatest first 3 films ever made by a Director. I hope he can continue to make solid films at his own pace, in similar fashion as Quentin Tarantino… roughly 3 movies each decade.
I also agree that the 4k/blu ray releasing/re-releasing has been one of the best things of the decade. I just upgrade to 4k over the past several months, mainly because I got a steal on both the player and 65′ tv (under $400 for both… best buy & sams club)

  2. Oh boy, you guys. What a hilarious, entertaining episode. Thanks!

I… don’t know what I would do if I had been an actor working on the set of “Lincoln” (2012), and Daniel Day-Lewis sat down next to me at lunch and started talking to me IN CHARACTER.

Great listening to you all riffing together again.

    Be well.

    Best,
    Victor

  3. What an amazing decade for film.
    10. The Skin I Live In (2011)
    9. I’m Still Here (2010)
    8. Elle (2016)
    7. 12 Years A Slave (2013)
    6. Inherent Vice (2014)
    5. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
    4. Twin Peaks: The Return (2017)
    3. The House That Jack Built (2018)
    2. Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood (2019)
    1. The Master (2012)

  4. B-Rye here. Just wanted to say I listen to this and yes I was the one who told you to watch shot caller. Still listening Jay full-time student graduate in May but I always catch up.
